The carpet ripped up SO easily, and the tack strips came out effortlessly. But no one told me how much of a b*tch carpet staples would be! Or how many there would be - whoever installed this carpet was a meticulous, trigger-happy freak.
Two more rooms to go - any advice on the best way to get them out? Wonder Bar? Screwdriver? Pliers?!
10 " cat claw pry bar and needle nose pliers. if you get the smaller pry bars, they are less apt to do any serious damage to the wood. Remember to place a block of wood between the handle of the bar and your floor. That's what I have been using on mine and it seems to work fairly well.
